Privacy notice.

This notice describes how The Task Studio, operated by Megan Lodewyk in Cape Town, uses the information you choose to share. Contact meganlodewyk261@gmail.com with privacy questions.

Enquiries and client work

We collect the contact information, service choice, deadline and message in your enquiry to respond and manage your request. You may optionally upload a photo with an enquiry and request a brief call by sharing preferred times, time zone and call method. Photos are private source files for Megan and are not published automatically. Confirmed clients may provide CVs and other application materials through their private project space. Please provide only information needed for the work; identity documents and banking records are not required.

Private project links

Your project link is a private access link. Anyone with the full link can view that project and send messages. Keep it out of public posts and contact Megan if it has been shared accidentally. Uploaded source documents are available to the studio owner; they are not published in the portfolio gallery.

Service providers

The site uses hosted website, database and file-storage services to operate. If email notifications are enabled, a transactional email provider handles the relevant email. When online payments are enabled, the payment provider handles checkout and payment details. The Task Studio does not collect card numbers in its enquiry form.

Application Companion and AI

The free guided tools run in your browser. Information entered there is not sent to an AI provider unless you use the separately labelled AI assistant. For AI support, the question and recent conversation you submit are sent to OpenAI to generate an answer. Source CV files and private project notes are not automatically included. Avoid sensitive personal details. AI response storage is disabled in the API request; provider handling remains subject to its own policies.

Public portfolios and examples

Public portfolios use the content and contact details agreed with you. Permission to create a CV is not permission to publish your source documents or use your work in our marketing. We will agree publication and showcase use separately.

Access, corrections and removal

You can request a copy, correction or removal of your information by emailing Megan with your project reference. We may need to verify your request and retain records needed for an active service, payment issue or applicable record-keeping requirements. Ask for a specific retention or removal arrangement before ordering if you need one.

Website storage

Your chosen display currency is saved on your device. Currency estimates use public reference rates; this rate request does not include your enquiry, photo or contact details. The guided tools do not use advertising trackers. Hosting providers may process operational logs. The site uses a privacy-preserving request marker to limit repeated enquiries and usage counters to limit AI requests. Signed-in Studio Desk access relies on the hosting platform’s authentication.
